# Upload batch file

> Uploads a provider file for batch processing and stores ownership in the authenticated workspace. Pass `model` so Phaseo can infer the upstream provider. Defaults to OpenAI when both `model` and `provider` are omitted.

Requires workspace preview access. See [Video and batch jobs](../../guides/async-video-and-batch.mdx) for setup, webhooks, and result handling.
